Dr.
Dele Akin-Ogundeji, a strategic human resources and organizational
development consultant based in Lagos, Nigeria (Africa), coordinates OD Synergy Team,

Akin holds Ph.D. of the University of London at Britain's pioneer
Department of Occupational Psychology, the Department
of Occupational Psychology in Birkbeck College. He has
over 25 years human resources and organizational development
consulting experience in Nigeria and the West Coast of
Africa. He has consulted for over 100 organizations in
diverse industries/organizations and in the public sector.
As
Head (Human Resources Consulting) of Ernst & Young Nigeria
he led human resources consultants on several
projects. For over 10 years as Head (Organizational Development
Consulting) of KPMG Nigeria he led many organizational
development consultants on OD and HR Strategy projects
in Nigeria and some countries in West Africa. He has taught
Industrial Psychology, Social Psychology, Human Resources
Management/Personnel Psychology, and Organizational Behavior
at both undergraduate and graduate levels in two top rated
Universities in Nigeria.
Since
leaving KPMG in 1998, he has consulted independently in the
areas of strategic human resources, holistic and integrated organization development, change management, strategic/general management,
human resource systems development, human resources strategy, performance management, and human capital management
and development.
The
main thrust of his professional approach is strategic
management and development of organizational, managerial
and human resource systems and processes for
high
performance, corporate growth, and effective organizational
synergy. His
forte is total organization development, involving fostering effective synergy of people's actualizing attributes and excellence of business and human resource (HR) systems, policies and processes for sustainable high performance.
He
has published academic and professional articles in such international
journals as International Journal of Manpower, Managerial
Psychology, Industrial and Commercial Training, Journal of
European Industrial Training, and The Psychologist (British).
His
personal philosophy is ‘the pursuit of excellence,’
which influences his personal and professional style. It underlies
