Dr. Oladele Akin-Ogundeji, a strategic organizational development and human resource specialist—based in Lagos, Nigeria (Africa)—coordinates the OD Synergy Team. He holds Ph.D. from the University of London at United Kingdom's pioneer Department of Occupational Psychology, the Department of Occupational Psychology in Birkbeck College. He has over 40 years organizational development research and consulting experience in Nigeria and the West Coast of Africa. He has consulted for over 500 organizations in diverse industries and organizations in the private sector—and served as lead consultant and development specialist on public service management, governance and service delivery in the public sector.

As Head of Organizational Development and Human Resource Consulting at Ernst and Young Nigeria, and for several years as Head of Organizational Development Consulting at KPMG Nigeria, he led many organizational development consultants and human resource specialist teams on organizational development and human resource strategy projects and programs in Nigeria and some countries in West Africa. He taught undergraduate and post-graduate courses—and conducted applied research—in Organizational Behaviour, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Social Psychology, General Management, Human Resource Management, and Personnel Psychology.

Since leaving KPMG in 2001, he has been consulting independently in strategic organizational development: organization research and design, culture building, team building, organizational change management, succession planning and talent management, human resource systems review, business process review and re-engineering, workforce performance management, public service management and governance, state government service delivery and strategy, general management and visioning, human resources strategy, performance management, and human capital management and development.
